A joint exhibition by Manfred Schotten and Christopher Clarke Antiques of sporting antiques and campaign furniture.

Both dealers are the first names you think of for their respective fields and are pioneers in increasing the appreciation of and knowledge of their subjects. Carpe Diem showcases both sporting antiques and campaign furniture. These two genres work well together and both would have appealed to the original owners, attracted by the outdoor life and seizing the day. There is a wide range of items from portable furniture and the smaller travel accessories that would add comfort on your journey to sporting equipment (that is still useable today) and art work illustrating both subjects. There are also a number of items related to vintage motoring and leather luggage. The exhibition has a total of 100 items, all colour illustrated in the accompanying catalogue.

As with past shows, a percentage of the profit from sales will go to local charity Kate’s Home Nursing. Added to this, the exhibition climax is a Cotswold Navigational Rally that also raises money for Kate’s. The dealers have raised over £ 40,000 for the charity in the past by the rally. It is always a fun day out and attracts owners of both vintage and classic cars as well as those with more modern vehicles. More information the rally can be found here:
