Discussion will focus on how to meet the long-term needs of the housing sector, both with regard to affordable housing targets and support for the private rented sector, following the passage of the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Bill.

 

Delegates will also discuss the impact on market trends more broadly of the new 3% levy on buying second homes and the implementation of the Land and Building Transactions Tax.

 

Further sessions will consider the impact of conclusions in the planning review - which focuses on the speed and efficiency of the planning process, and is expected to report its findings in May 2016 - on housing delivery as well as how best to use current investment and housing stock.
