DB Systems, the Audio-Visual and AV Hire event company has extended their range of digital video cameras and mounting equipment in order to fulfil a growing demand for networked CCTV solutions.
They have invested over £100k in a range of best-in-class Samsung Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras which offer excellent visibility and manoeuvrability and are both easy to set up and to use. They successfully used the new equipment for the first time at the recent SPE Offshore Europe event at the AECC in Aberdeen, installing a complete CCTV network of 12 cameras and a control-room dashboard which also integrated the output of 4 in-house cameras.
The networked system integrated to a mobile app which enabled key members of the team not only to be able to access and monitor the cameras on their mobile devices but also move and control the cameras as needed.
Ben Gleeson, Group Operations Manager for Reed Exhibitions, the organisers of Offshore Europe said “We were really pleased with the CCTV DB Systems installed and were particularly impressed by the mobile capabilities which meant we could monitor any part of the site at any time from any location. This improved the efficiency of our teams and saved vital time across the large site. Our security team commented that it was one of the best systems they have used, the high definition image quality combined with precise optical zoom meant that it was easy to identify individuals and monitor incidents effectively. The system was incredibly straight-forward and user-friendly yet has all the trimmings that we need to be able to monitor the site as efficiently as possible.”
DB System’s Oliver Richardson commented “We’ve been supplying secure networks to operate CCTV cameras for years so supplying and installing the actual camera equipment was a natural next step. Offshore Europe, at which we already supply the connectivity infrastructure, has been a real success and we’re looking forward to the next CCTV project.”
