DB Systems’ Event Networks division are in the final stages of installing site-wide connectivity at the 1000 acre Farnborough site in time for the International Airshow.  The Airshow, which has been running for over 65 years, takes place from 14th – 20th July this year and will bring together the global aerospace industry for a week of business and networking which culminates in a public airshow over the weekend.

DB Event Networks are installing a site-wide internet and telecommunications infrastructure, which will enable exhibitors, press, security, ticketing and visitors to stay connected during the show. The completed network will deliver VoIP telephony and faxes in addition to general internet connectivity and WiFi hotspots for visitors. The network will also provide for large upload requirements in the press areas and live video streaming of the air shows.

With more than 130 miles of cable across the 1000 acre site, 300MB of internet connectivity, hundreds of VOIP telephones and thousands of internet connections, installing, managing and supporting the network for this event is one of Event Networks biggest contracts.
