The Sustainable Events Summit 2014 launches
The Sustainable Events Summit 2014 will take place on Tuesday 18 February 2014 at 30 Euston Square, London. The Summit will delve into brands' beliefs and behaviours in relation to sustainability.
This year’s inaugural Summit was supported by Mayor of London Boris Johnson, and was attended by over 200 delegates including 40 key brands. The summit resulted in the creation of an online Community of over 500 practicing sustainability followers.
The event will be chaired by ex CNN and BBC reporter Nadine Dzeera and panel contributors will include corporate speakers from a broad range of brands. Already confirmed are Innocent, Nestlé, Cisco and Coffee Republic with many more yet to be announced.
The Sustainable Events Summit exists to bring together a community which inspires the continuous development of a global sustainable event industry. 2014’s Summit will give the community the chance to learn best practice solutions and hear from brands who are leading the way in sustainable events.
The Sustainable Events Summit community has been created by a partnership between Smyle, Sustainable Events Ltd and Positive Impact. Fiona Pelham MD of Sustainable Events Ltd and Positive Impact said: “This is a unique opportunity to learn alongside global brands and be part of conversation for leadership in sustainability, which will include new initiatives such as the 'Share a Positive Impact Campaign.”
Rick Stainton, MD of Smyle commented: “This award-winning event pioneers the way in sustainable thinking. Only by understanding the priorities of what global brands are thinking in this area will we truly be able to direct our own industry forwards.”
