Following extensive research Melville invests £400,000 in new exhibition furniture
Melville Exhibition and Event Services has undertaken an extensive programme of research into furniture usage, needs and trends, and made an investment of over £400,000 across four new ranges of exhibition furniture to provide organisers and exhibitors with carefully considered and styled themes.
Melville has strengthened its essential range, designed for everyday use by exhibitors, by consolidating colour and style choices and increasing the quality. Research findings highlighted that exhibitors would prefer to be assured of their first choice of furniture and, based upon this, each standard furniture piece will be available in greater numbers. The colours of the essential range have been selected to achieve an accurate match across furniture styles and fabric types.
The new bespoke range allows exhibitors to select items from a variety of 12 colours with an additional option to match furniture to specific PANTONE colours. Designed for feature areas at events, or for exhibitors wanting furniture matching their brand colours, the bespoke option will have a four-week lead time.
The designer range will focus on classic, iconic pieces of furniture for use as key feature pieces within a stand design. The Melville furniture offering will be expanded further with a new range of lounge area furniture early in 2012.
Melville’s Marketing Manager, Malene Stanley said: “We wanted to make sure that our new furniture selections were the best possible fit for the market. We have carried out in-depth customer surveys, analysed ordering patterns, conducted extensive market research, and reviewed our own furniture range against those of our competitors, and we have used the results to create an unmatched balance of choice and availability.”
