Positive outlook for UK Events in 2012
Ocean Media, organisers of the UK Venue Show and Event Production Show, reveal a positive outlook for corporate and municipal events in 2012.
The research of over 3,000 visitors indicates an increase in budgets for 2012’s UK-wide event programme.
Respondents highlighted a projected increment in corporate event budgets of 10% year on year as end users and agencies seek to capitalise on 2012’s worldwide focus.
Those in the local authority sector also indicated more fluidity in budgets, with many planning events related to the HM Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Event Production Show and sister show, the UK Venue Show mark the start of 2012’s buying season for professional event organisers. The shows compliment Ocean Media’s portfolio of highly targeted shows in the events sector which include The National Wedding Shows, Luxury Wedding Show and uber-luxe White Gallery.
Also included under Ocean Media’s portfolio is a raft of widely respected awards including 2012’s inaugural Event Production Awards which will recognise excellence in live events and festivals.
The Event Production Show, along with sister exhibition, the UK Venue Show has seen demand for attending up year on year with attendees from LOCOG, RPM and Burberry already committed to the 2 day event at Olympia, 1-2 February. Exhibitors are also commensurate with the demand for events in 2012 with Event Production Show seeing an increase in demand for stand space up by 10% year on year.
The inaugural UK Venue Show has secured key players including ODEON Conferencing and Events, Business Design Centre and One Great George Street.
Sarah Brownlee, Show Director of Event Production Show, said, “We have more confirmed exhibitors year on year and robust pipeline which clearly indicates that the shows are positioned at the right market and most significantly at the right time of the year. We are recognised for having one of the best track records of attracting decision makers and buyers and a buoyant outlook is sure to benefit our exhibitors”.
