Melville secures British International Motor Show contract for 2008
Exhibition services company Melville will provide event services to the biennial British International Motor Show 2008 taking place at ExCeL London from 23 July to 3 August 2008.
The contract covers electrical, standfitting, furniture and floorcoverings, graphics, floorplanning, producing the online manual, and, new for 2008, a joint deal for lifting and logistics.
"We are delighted to continue our relationship with this event and event organiser IMIE,” said Melville chief executive Nick Marshall. “The British International Motor Show is one of the premier automotive events in Europe if not the world. The appointment follows the very successful delivery of services to the immensely successful show staged at ExCeL in 2006. We are really looking forward to working with IMIE to deliver outstanding customer service to the 2008 show."
Meanwhile, managing director of, Rob Mackenzie, was equally enthusiastic, adding: "We raised the bar in 2006 and created a stunning, live event experience for both visitor and exhibitor. Melville was a fundamental part of that success. We made a number of commitments to our exhibitors and visitors following 2006 and we are delighted to be once again working with Melville in 2008 to drive the event forward and upward to meet those commitments."
The British International Motor Show is one of the leading automotive events in Europe and the largest UK consumer show having attracted more than 415,000 visitors and over 200 exhibitors in 2006. It was also winner of five prestigious industry awards.
