<p>BBC television presenter Julia Bradbury has been confirmed as the host for a forthcoming conference aimed at discussing the sustainable development of Britain's national parks. </p><p>Due to take place over three days from September 17th at the Low Wood Hotel in the Cumbrian town of Windermere, the event will see around 150 delegates get together to discuss issues such as affordable housing within the 14 UK parks, economic development and environmental factors. </p><p>According to the conference organisers, Ms Bradbury represents the ideal host for the event, given that she has only recently presented a popular BBC series recreating the Lakeland walks made famous by the hiker and writer Alfred Wainwright. </p><p>Also due to attend will be a number of government ministers, who will be taking questions from the floor, as well as the poet laureate Andrew Motion, who will appear as a guest speaker. </p><p>Conference project director and Lake District National Park services director Bob Cartwright, told the Cumberland News: "I am sure that, with Julia Bradbury in the chair, delegates will be inspired to take advantage of this rare chance to quiz ministers over the issues that really matter to rural communities in all national parks."<img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-18681537-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
