Royal Patronage For 24th Gastech
Gastech, the 24th International Conference & Exhibition for the LNG, LPG and Natural Gas Industries is to be held under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. Hosted by ADNOC & Group of Companies, Gastech 2009 is being held 25-28 May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
“It is a great honour for Gastech to be held under His Highness’s patronage,” says Event Director Tony Stephenson of dmg world media (uk) ltd. “With the active involvement of ADNOC & Group of Companies we are building a show of which the President can be justifiably proud. Exhibitors come from 34 countries; and we are expecting prime decision makers from all over the world. Gastech 2008 attracted a record 11,497 unique attendees from 58 countries of which 33% of delegates were Chairmen, Presidents, CEOs, COOs, Vice Presidents, Directors, or Managing Directors of organisations active in the international gas industry. We are looking forward to Gastech 2009 matching or even surpassing those record numbers.
“This year’s conference, with its apt theme ‘Gas: A Time of Change – a time for challenges, solutions and alternatives’ features a packed and highly topical programme.
“With its commercial, technical and ‘focus’ streams it will comprise sessions on ‘World Recession, World Gas: Where in the world are we going?’; ‘Safety and Training for Ship and Shore Operators’; ‘Natural Gas and LNG Projects’; ‘LNG, LPG and Chemical Gas Shipping’; ‘New Commercial Frontiers and Challenges’; ‘Middle East: Exporter or Importer’; ‘Gas Processing and Utilization’; ‘Environmentally Friendly Technologies’; ‘Trading Models in the Gas Business’; ‘Floating Production Facilities Hype or Reality’; ‘New Economic Realities’; ‘Finance and Legal Matters’; ‘Advances in Key Enabling Technologies – Onshore and Offshore’; ‘Regional Perspectives’; and the traditional ‘Gastech Perspective’ wrap-up session.”
