<p>Glasgow has won three major conferencing awards at the industry's leading ceremony, including best UK convention centre for the city's main venue.</p><p>The Scottish Exhibition Conference Centre (SECC) beat ACC Liverpool and One Great George Street to take the prize for the second year running.</p><p>Glasgow also won best UK convention bureau, voted for by readers of Meetings and Incentive Travel magazine, for the third year running ahead of the Jersey, South Yorkshire and Birmingham's entries.</p><p>The SECC's in-house caterers came away with best food and beverage supplier, also for the third year in a row.</p><p>Molly Doheny, head of the convention bureau at the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, says: "This award … is for everyone in the city who works so hard year after year to make Glasgow such a fantastic conference destination."</p><p>This March, the SECC will host the Main Event, a corporate conference and hospitality exhibition, featuring presentations from Apex Hotels, En Croute Catering, Go Ape, Historic Scotland and Mariott Hotels.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19045145-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
