Liverpool ACC secures 2011 Labour party conference
<p>Labour party <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="_self">conference organisers</a> have revealed that Liverpool's Echo Arena and Convention Centre will be the location for the 2011 summit.</p><p>The four-day event will travel to Liverpool for the first time and will be the largest conference the city has ever hosted.</p><p>Warren Bradley, leader of Liverpool City Council, said securing the event was "exciting news" as it is expected to generate millions of pounds for the local economy.</p><p>"The billions of pounds invested into making the city an attractive, vibrant and welcoming destination has been a major factor in securing one of the country's biggest conferences," he added.</p><p>Mr Bradley said that various Liverpool venues would benefit from the event, including hotels, restaurants and entertainment facilities.</p><p>The conference is expected to attract 20,000 visitors to the city, including delegates, journalists and lobbyists.</p><p>Last month, Liverpool's BT Convention Centre secured a spin-off event linked to major games industry conference, Develop.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19311658-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
