Event organisers prepare for climate change conference
Exhibition stands are being put in place for an event taking place in Chester this evening, which will help combat climate change.
Chester Zoo is hosting its own event which will attempt to persuade companies to adopt a more sustainable approach to business, though event organisers have revealed that there will be no printed hand-outs at the event, instead relying on exhibition stands to convey the message, the Chester Chronicle revealed.
The event
organisers, who consist of a panel of environmental experts from around the region, will attempt to get more local people on board and spread the message.
Panel member councillor Neil Ritchie told the newspaper: "I would like to think that we will all come out of the conference with renewed conviction and know that we are all travelling in the same direction. The issue of climate change is not just about turning down thermostats."
Recently, Business Visits and Events Partnership and Confex announced that they are spearheading a campaign which aims to gain support for the events industry from the government.
