Event organisers 'increasingly using iPads'
Those running conferences are increasingly adopting the latest tablet computers in order to boost the effectiveness of their displays, it has been claimed.
Software solution provider TAAP has claimed that the Apple iPad is a key example of where those in event jobs have been quick to adapt to a new technology of this sort.
It claimed that marketers and sales representatives at industry events have been using the devices in face-to-face settings and during experiential marketing activities.
One of the key reasons the company claims that event organisers have been adapting the technology is due to its large screen, which makes it great for displaying brochure displays or custom-made embedded videos, as well as for data capture.
Gordon Smillie, managing director at TAAP, said that this can actually allow companies to target any follow up communication using the information gathered at a conference or event.
He said: "There has been huge interest from the business community about how to use the iPad in commercial situations, so TAAP is delighted to be developing applications which make use of the latest innovations in mobile technology."
