Olympics event organisers reveal games schedule
The draft schedule and ticket prices of the London 2012 Olympic Games have been released.
Event organisers said that 90 per cent of the tickets will cost £100 or under, with two-thirds falling under £50 mark.
Some 2.5 million tickets will cost under £20, although entrance to a number of the finals could cost up to £725, while tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies could set people back by as much as £2,000.
"When we won the right to stage the Games, we made a promise to inspire young people to choose sport and our ticket prices will get as many young people as possible to the Games," said London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe.
He said that the 1.3 million tickets in the Pay Your Age scheme and the London 2012 Ticketshare scheme reflect this ambition.
The Games will take place from July 27th to August 12th 2012, while the Paralympics Games are due to be held from August 29th to September 9th 2012.
