PSCo has partnered with German manufacturers Mediascreen to launch this flight-case based system in the UK, which can position the screen up to 3m off the ground at the touch of a button.

The sheer size of the new screen has presented an installation challenge for early purchasers of the system. Until now the eight-foot wide, 220kg visual aid has required bespoke lifting for both permanent and temporary installations.

However, the Screen Lifter houses the screen in a flight case on heavy-duty castors, which can be manoeuvred by one person. Once in place, the mere touch of a button will operate a precision-engineered drive unit, which unloads the screen and transforms itself into a designer display stand. The mechanism even allows you to rotate the screen to a vertical setting and adjust its height – up to 3m in horizontal format, or 3.5m in portrait.

The Screen Lifter reduces installation time to a matter of minutes and an LED display allows the technician to know accurately how far from the floor the base of the screen is. A remote control also means the screen can be controlled from the other side of the room.

“This is a truly amazing solution and one that I am confident will be popular with both our rental and sales clients,” said Stuart Holmes, managing director of PSCo.
