Montgomery International establishes new Polish company
Montgomery International, the overseas division of leading UK based exhibition company Montgomery Exhibitions, has launched a new company, Montgomery Polska Sp. Z o.o. in Warsaw, Poland. This exciting new venture will support the company’s current Central & Eastern Europe activities brought about by 6 years of organising the successful international food and drink exhibition, IFE Poland.
Chairman of Montgomery International, Christopher Newton is thrilled about the new venture;
“Montgomery has been active in the Polish market for 6 years and we felt now was the right time to expand our activities in this exciting country. An office in Poland is the solution to the growing demand on the show and developing our opportunities in the region. Montgomery’s strengths lie in developing a strong presence within a territory with professional B2B entities in emerging markets. We strongly believe that championing the emerging markets provides the best opportunities for international growth.”
Montgomery Polska Sp.z o.o. is a wholly owned Montgomery company with a current launch portfolio of exhibitions and exhibition services including; own brand exhibitions, partnership exhibitions and providing international organisers with sales, marketing and technical services. The management team is based in Warsaw and have many years ‘hands-on’ experience in the region. The company is perfectly positioned to run its own branded events as well as to offer support to international exhibition brands looking to enter the Central & Eastern European markets.
David Ashdown, General Manager of Montgomery Polska has dynamic plans for the development of the company;
“Montgomery Polska will continue to organise the successful IFE Poland, exhibition along with the recently launched Central Europe Wine & Spirits Challenge. We have recently launched with Haymarket Exhibitions Polskie Zboza (Cereals Poland), a LIVE! Technical arable farming event similar to Haymarket’s Cereals UK show.
We have an aggressive development plan that sees us currently evaluating future acquisitions in the market alongside our own new launch events. In addition there are a number of industry media opportunities that deserve our consideration. We certainly feel now is the right time for the exhibition industry in the Polish market and predict rapid development in both the B2B and B2C exhibition format.”
The next IFE Poland event, incorporating the winners of the Central European Wine and Spirits Challenge will take place from 20-22nd May 2009 at Expo XXI, Warsaw. IFE Poland is the leading trade show for the Central and Eastern European food and drink. Polskie Zboza will take place on a working farm just outside of Poznan, Poland between 4-5th June 2009.
