Melville GES acquires Resource Creative Ltd
Melville GES has acquired UK-based Resource Creative Ltd (RCL), it announced today. RCL specialises in the provision of creative graphic services to the exhibition, events and retail markets throughout the UK and Continental Europe. RCL services a number of important European shows for key Melville GES clients including UBM and Clarion.
Jason Popp, executive vice president, international of GES said, “With this acquisition we continue to deliver our global strategy which is to service show organisers, exhibitors, congress organisers and exhibition venues, worldwide. I believe that RCL’s capabilities are a perfect fit for GES as we continue to expand our infrastructure and capabilities across the globe. The acquisition of RCL accelerates the growth of our expanding graphics operation in London and augments our growing presence in continental Europe, where we have recently established an operating facility in Amsterdam.”
RCL’s operations will be merged with Melville GES’s existing London based operation and will relocate to a new unit on site at ExCeL London. The principals of RCL, David O’Connor and John Beake, will continue to be actively involved in working with the firm’s existing clients. David O’Connor will assume the role of managing director of Melville GES’ Amsterdam operation. John Beake will take on the role of general manager for Melville GES’ London graphics operation.

GES produces many shows across Europe including the European Seafood Exposition, European Attractions, LabelExpo and VitaFoods. GES was recently awarded a two year contract by UBM Live, a global business-to-business events organizer, to provide services to approximately 30 shows in six countries and 17 different venues Including iconic shows such as International Confex , Live Experience, CPhi, IFSEC, and Fi.
