Leicestershire events organisers team up to create new firm
Two travel and meeting specialists in Leicestershire are joining forces to become event organisers, offering a bespoke conference management service.
Millington Travel and Yell Jee Associates have come together to form Millington Events, forming a commercial alliance to provide event management which will be have an ATOL consumer protection guarantee.
Yell Lee Associates is known for its contacts in the Formula One hospitality circuit, theatre, sport and concert venues, with previous offerings including VIP packages to the French Open tennis tournament.
Nigel Armitage, co-managing director of Millington Travel, said that the aim was to create a more bespoke and special service for "well-travelled" business people.
"Companies simply don't have the time, the contacts, the insider knowledge or the resources to plan their own events, particularly when dealing with overseas firms, time differences and language barriers," Chris Jee, director of Yell Jee, added.
Earlier this month, Len Olender, Olympic director of travel, event management and marketing service at Sportsworld Group, advised event organisers about the importance of using the opportunities presented by the 2012 Games.
