fabric_frame® selected for international exhibition on British Design
fabric_frame® panels from Icon are being used as the main display medium for a UKTI sponsored international event on British culture and design. Icon worked closely with event designers Shelton Fleming Associates Ltd to produce six 2.4m x 3m double sided panels that are being used to promote some of the UK’s most iconic design brands from the last 50 years.
Maurice Fleming, managing director at Shelton Fleming Associates Ltd, said; “Everything about this exhibition is designed to highlight the quality and expertise of British design. Icon’s fabric_frame® system provides us with the highest reproductive print quality and that has enhanced the whole show. On a practical level its ease of assembly and portability are a real bonus for the crew involved in staging this event on its international tour.”
The front of the double-sided light box profiles were used as a projection screen with branding at both the top and bottom while the backs bore an assortment of images of British design. Debbie Buckley, Business Development Manager at Icon, commented; “We were delighted to be able to work with Shelton Fleming and UKTI on such a prestigious, international project. The response to the fabric_frame® system has been very positive and we hope it will lead to future similar contracts for exhibitions and displays across diverse markets.”
fabric_frame® is a versatile display system which can be used as an exhibition, hospitality or conference backdrop, and a range of other applications for all kinds of brand, event or retail display projects. The non reflective finish also makes the system ideal for photographic and TV applications. Once printed the fabric is displayed in easy-to-assemble aluminium frames which can measure up to 12m x 3m, enabling the construction of a large format, seamless panel. Additional options include a lightweight “flag” and transparent fabrics.
‘Love & Money – 50 Years of Creative Britain’ is a multi-screen exhibition which showcases products and services that balance business ambition and commercial success with the invention and experimentation for which Britain’s creative industries are internationally renowned. The exhibition has already visited China, Italy, Taiwan and Singapore.
