Events 'will be key marketing tool in future'
<p>Events will be a key form of marketing in the future, with conferences being taken to the audience, according to an expert.</p><p>Trevor Foley, former head of the Event Industry Alliance, told delegates at industry convention RSVP 09 that <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="self">conference organisers </a>will take their exhibitions to "where the people are", Event magazine reports.</p><p>He said that although the future of advertising will be on the internet, visual and audio presentations will not replace face-to-face communication.</p><p>"Businesses are realising that events are vital in creating a complete brand experience," Mr Foley asserted.</p><p>He added that there is demand for conferences that cater for new groups such as online communities and suggested that shopping centres will become "event hubs", the news provider reports.</p><p>Last month, Richard Waddington, chief executive of First Protocol, said that conferences will remain an important consideration for businesses in the future, but <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/event_management_organisers/suppliers" target="self">event organisers </a>will change their approach to delivering them, focusing on content rather than luxury.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19109905-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
