Event organisers pleased with turnout at wedding show
Event organisers were pleasantly surprised by the turnout at The National Wedding Show held at Earls Court in London this weekend.
The exhibition was opened by interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and his wife Jackie.
It featured a catwalk show sponsored by Wedding magazine, which included designs from the likes of Alfred Sung, Ian Stuart and Confetti & Lace.
Jenny Swire, fashion director at Wedding magazine, said it was one of the best catwalk shows the event had ever seen.
"There's a really great atmosphere," commented Alice du Parcq, beauty and features editor at Brides magazine.
"I walked in earlier on before the gates had opened and there were literally hundreds of girls who looked really excited, some with their boyfriends and mums," she added.
Blush, Bloomsbury Flowers, the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, Dream Honeymoons, Flower Fairy and MissUniq Bridal Couture were just some of the companies to have exhibition stands at the event.
