EMCC begins work on £350,000 catering facilities
<p>East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC) has begun developing a £350,000 extension to double the size of its existing catering facilities.</p><p>The venue, which is located on the University of Nottingham's campus, will be able to offer a more diverse range of events, including banquets for 500 guests, following completion of the additional space, according to Travel Daily News.</p><p>Designs for the extension have taken environmental concerns into account and will increase the efficiency for delivery of refreshments at larger functions, the news provider reports.</p><p>"This extension means we can now cater for simultaneous events without compromising the quality of our produce or service," said Kirstie Danzey, marketing manager for Nottingham Conferences, which runs EMCC.</p><p>The building work has been contracted out to local specialist J Tomlinson, which expects to complete the work in the next five months.</p><p>Meanwhile, Concorde Conference Centre at Manchester Airport is to develop a new restaurant with dining space for 110 people, Manchester Evening News reports.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19247837-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
