Confex Promises to Inspire the Industry with UK Events Week
Organisers of International Confex are promising to light up the events industry next spring with the launch of UK Events Week, a week-long celebration and spotlight on the entirety of the UK Events Industry taking place from 29th Feb to 4th March. The week will include International Confex and Event Production Show and comes fittingly at the culmination of Britain for Events, the hugely influential self-promotional campaign for the events industry.
Broadly divided into three main streams of ‘Business’, ‘Marketing’ and ‘Industry’, events already scheduled range from a Chief Executive Dinner on how CEs view the events industry, with participants from the UK’s largest companies, to a presentation from UK Sport on how they pull together a match winning bid team, an ideal forum for venues and destinations to look at new perspectives on the event pitch process.
UK Events Week will be curated by senior industry and media professionals including Nick de Bois, Chairman of the new Events Industry Board, Mike Fletcher and Alistair Turner, ISES UK President Elect.
Confex will also be unveiling technological innovation, expanding the largest marketplace of event tech at any MICE show worldwide to create a “show within a show” with Eventech 16 which will span both Confex and EPS, giving visitors a view of the latest cutting edge technology that will be influencing their events for years to come.
Other features of Confex include the return and expansion of the Association Events Forum in partnership with Associations Network which was hugely successful in its inaugural outing this year, attracting over 180 association events planners in a day packed with content, the AEO Sales Conference, offering relevant and inspirational education for event sales professionals at all levels and the Business Travel Theatre, debating once again the role of the airlines, travel providers and agencies in supporting and driving the meetings industry.
UK Events Week will also be open to all interested parties who wish to add their own events to the programme with promotion via the UK Events Week website.
