Cineworld brings its passion for film to V Festival
Cineworld is to become the first major UK cinema chain to bring the cinema experience to a music festival. This weekend, Cineworld, the UK’s leading cinema chain, is bringing a pop-up cinema to V Festival to entertain guests in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge with some feel-good movies, including a preview screening of forthcoming biopic, Lovelace.
Cineworld will be the only cinema brand in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge – an exclusive hospitality area at V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex, where VIPs rub shoulders and enjoy gourmet food, drinks and themed experiences.
The brand-building move has also seen Cineworld team up with Empire Magazine who will be sharing some of their insider knowledge before the films. Cineworld has transformed its roadshow pop-up cinema into the ultimate festival film zone with comfy bean bags and blankets, as well as festival-friendly cinema snacks and drinks.
The guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of feel-good movies, specifically tailored for the Virgin Media Louder Lounge. The pop-up cinema will launch with an exclusive preview screening of Lovelace, a biographical film about adult film actress Linda Boreman, starring Amanda Seyfried. The preview screening will be followed by an exciting line-up of films throughout the weekend and each film will be introduced by Ian Freer, Assistant Editor of Empire Magazine.
Justin Skinner, Vice President of Marketing at Cineworld, said, “We’re thrilled to showcase our passion for film outside of our auditoriums and bring our entertainment expertise to Virgin Media’s V Festival. At Cineworld we show a wide range of films and content, from blockbusters to live screenings from the Metropolitan Opera and we hope that our great selection of films will be a hit with the Virgin Media Louder Lounge guests and add to their festival experience.”
