Association Conference to kick start Meetings Show UK’s education programme
The Meetings Show UK has announced a focused Association Conference to take place at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) on 8th July, 2013.
The Meetings Show UK Event Director, Steve Knight, explained: “We aim to provide the highest level of education programme to all our attendees, including the vitally important association market. And, in recognition of the particularly differing needs of association event organisers, The Meetings Show UK is holding a focused one day conference, built around the key issues and challenges they face when creating events for their associations.”
The content for the Association Conference will be decided by The Meetings Show UK’s influential Education Panel, led by Sally Greenhill, Managing Director, The Right Solution: “Associations are experiencing enormous changes in competition for members and pressure on revenues which emphasises the need for their events to be as effective and innovative as possible. The Meetings Show UK is providing a platform for both UK and international associations to discuss all the latest issues and trends, to learn from experts and their peers, at a special day totally geared to their needs.”
QEIICC Commercial Director, Sue Etherington comments: “The Meetings Show UK’s decision to use The QEIICC to commence its education programme is a testament to its desire to run an event that delivers high quality from start to finish. The association market is important to The QEIICC and to the UK as a whole, so holding a dedicated conference for this sector is a significant accomplishment for the show.”
The Meetings Show UK's inaugural event will take place during week commencing 8th July, 2013 at Olympia, London. The 5,000 visitors to the show will include 1,500 hosted buyers from across the UK and Europe.
