AEV welcomes three new members
The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has swelled its ranks this summer with the addition of three new members. The Silverstone Wing, based at the historic racing circuit, and The Crystal, both recently established venues, have elected to join the AEV for the first time. The International Centre, Telford, has rejoined the association.
Andrew Harrison, AEv's account and communications manager said, "We are delighted to welcome The Silverstone Wing and The Crystal into AEV membership, with their strong and unique proposition in the industry, and we're very happy to see the return of The International Centre, Telford; rejoining the AEV shows a determination and desire to work with the rest of the industry on the development of the entire UK venue scene."
Tom Gray, Group CEO of The Southwater Event Group that includes The International Centre, Telford, will also be joining the AEV board and was clear about the company's motivations to rejoin the AEV, "As an ambitious and forward looking venue we believe the AEV leads the way in event industry guidance, networking and venue/peer development. In addition, both access and contribution to the industry standard e-guide is invaluable; in turn our clients benefit from this renowned exhibition benchmark. With influence at a senior level of the AEV we are confident our membership is a positive and extremely useful step."
The Association of Event Venues (AEV) serves an established event venue community and focuses on creating and driving platforms that service fundamental industry needs. AEV membership enables venues to work closely with members of the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) and Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) to increase the profile and significance of events within the marketing mix.
