AEV Communications Working Group share benchmarking results
The Association of Event Venues Communications Working Group met last week at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) where five of the industry's leading venues shared the results of their digital communications benchmarking exercise. The results, available to participating venues only, provided an insight into visitor traffic to websites, and responses to digital campaigns across email, Facebook and Twitter.
Andrew Harrison, account and communications manager at the AEV said, "Sharing data in an anonymous fashion creates a level of data against which individual venue media campaigns can be measured, providing insight to the broader industry trends when compared to an individual venue's activity."
The Association of Event Venues (AEV) serves an established event venue community, and focuses on creating and driving platforms that service fundamental industry needs. AEV is run by its members for the benefit of its members through an elected council of representatives, specialist working groups and a full time secretariat. AEV membership enables venues to work closely with members of the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) and Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) to increase the profile and significance of events within the marketing mix.
