The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has announced details of their flagship ceremony, the Excellence Awards 2013. The glittering awards ceremony, which will be held on 28th June at Old Billingsgate, is open to all organisers, venues and suppliers operating in the worldwide trade and consumer exhibition and events industry.

The AEO Excellence Awards represent the best that the events industry has to offer, showcasing the amazing achievements within the industry over the past 12 months. The event recognises and celebrates organisers’ achievements, standards of excellence from venues and service quality by suppliers and contractors throughout the industry.

“The AEO Excellence Awards is the most important and prestigious event that celebrates our industry's achievements,” said Karim Halwagi, AEO’s chief executive officer.

“Winning an award or just being shortlisted enhances both personal and corporate reputations and there’s no better way to raise your company’s profile than being acknowledged as an award-winning organisation. I would like to encourage companies to reflect on their successes and submit their entries.”

The 2013 categories are now open for submissions and companies can submit entries on the AEO website (www.aeo.org.uk/awards). The deadline for entries is the 5th April.
