What value does 'expertise' still have in our society?
How is expertise used, manipulated or ignored for political, social and environmental reasons?
Has the public 'had enough' of experts?
How can we overcome these important issues?
These are some of the questions that key speakers will discuss at this 'Toxic Expertise' event. We are bringing together politicians, academics, policy makers, NGO representatives and the public to discuss the changing role of expertise in relation to the environment, economy and society.
