Following recent concerns over the quality and quantity of programming serving audiences in Scotland, key policymakers and stakeholders - including broadcasters, producers and other interested parties - will consider how both public service and commercial broadcasters can best respond to changing demands, media consumption habits and opportunities.

 

They will also assess options for addressing the challenges facing independent production - including those relating to funding, infrastructure and workforce - as well as latest thinking on partnership strategies to support wider creative and economic growth.

 

Bill Matthews, Trustee for Scotland, BBC Trust; David Fleetwood, Programme Manager, Innovation and Investment Hubs and Broadcasting Policy, The Scottish Government and a senior speaker confirmed from BBC Scotland have agreed to deliver keynote addresses at this seminar.
