Sybarite Nights music happenings take place in one of London’s best kept secret venues for fabulous and unexpected pleasures. Expect fabled and exquisite performances from an expanded spectrum of performers young and old.
Resident compere beyond compare Lindsay Moran will be introducing the following line-up of our regular performers plus special guests.
Dr. Martin our local music hall turn. Regular as clockwork.
The legendary Michael Myers our resident king of crooners.
*Special Guests*
Flora Hibberd:
Singer and songwriter who has released her new EP and sees her adding musical depth to the songs she has been writing since she was sixteen.
David Harry:
Expert close-up magician and a brilliant far-away one too (he lives in darkest south London). He is also an uncannily accurate mind-reader so be careful of what you think.
Charmian Hughes:
Excerpts from her award winning Edinburgh Fringe Show Soixante Mirth. Featuring Fun Filled Frolic – Fate, Flim-Flam and Filosophy – no effing!
Greg Williams:
Solo artist of mellifluous angst, a poet singer/songwriter formally of Eclipse and Chango Mutney.
Alice Zawadski:
Jazz vocalist, violonist, songwriter and composer. Her work as a performer, collaborator, composer and speaker, has seen her gain considerable repute as a distinctive and individual presence on the creative European music scene.
Leyden Gallery is also pleased to welcome artist Tina Crawford who, during the intervals, will be performing live-drawing with her sewing machine.
You can commision your own portrait on the night
Tina's powerful images reveal the potentiality of the (supposedly humble) technique of the sewing machine when placed in the hands of an insightful and informed artist. She has had a successful career in free embroidery illustration, designing pieces for clients such as Shakespeare’s Globe, Kew Gardens and the Museum of London.
A superb selection of fine wines and signature cocktails will be available in our lovely ArtBar. As always it will be a truly unique celebration of music, performance and community spirit. XXXmas
