This National Conference focuses on implementing the New National Quality Standard for Sepsis which is due to be published in September 2017. A recent study from the York Health Economics Consortium suggests that 260,000 people in the UK develop sepsis every year. The UK Sepsis Trust estimates that sepsis kills around 44,000 people per year.
