This national summit will focus on delivering safe staffing and improving nurse staffing levels.  The conference will update delegates on national developments following the Lord Carter productivity review and the May 2016 Public Accounts Committee Report  ‘Managing the supply of NHS clinical staff in England’.  The important issues of skill mix, acuity monitoring, recognizing red flag events and escalation will be discussed.  Delegates will be updated on implementing the national guidance on safe staffing levels including the use of the new Care Hours Per Patient Day (CHPPD) metric and on optimising your workforce to reduce reliance on temporary staff, realising the benefits of eRostering and working with National Agency Rules: Making Agency Rate Caps work for you.
