Running annually since 1981, the London Wine Fair brings producers, exporters and distributors together with buyers from the grocery, on and off trade and import sectors. With a focus on the ability to taste from a vast collection of wines in a professional forum from practically every major wine producing country in the world, the Fair sees around 25,000 bottles opened over the course of the three day event.
The strict trade-only entrance policy ensures that exhibitors are able to focus their endeavours and address only the trade throughout the course of the show. Exhibitors are largely split into two types; those taking part within national pavilions and independent companies representing a variety of wines often from several countries. The largest groups of exhibitors take part under the national pavilion banner, with France, Spain and Italy being the best represented. Among the independent exhibitors are many of the leading names in wine and spirit distribution across the UK.
