The Firths and Fjords: A Coastal History Conference, organized by the Institute of Historical Research will take place from 31st March to 2nd April 2016 in Dornoch, UK. The conference will explore the pasts of communities living near or along adjacent coastlines: firths, sea lochs, fjords, estuaries, inlets, sounds, narrow gulfs and bays could all be discussed.
