Wiseman launches poker show

The continuing growth in the popularity of Poker has led to the launch of Stake and Chips.

The continuing growth in the popularity of Poker has led to the launch of Stake and Chips. Scheduled to take place at Old Billingsgate in February, the show is being run by Brian Wiseman and the Golf Show’s Jay Tyson. Visitors will be able to play the game at the show and get tips from poker professionals. Exhibitors will comprise equipment manufacturers, betting organisations and holiday destinations.

“I work on maybe five to ten show launches a year,” says Wiseman. “Rarely, and maybe not since all the buzz around ‘Erotica’, have I believed a project would fly as much as this. The concept, the timing and the demand are all there.” Tyson meanwhile is clearly excited by the project. “It’s such a dynamic market and the feedback from the industry thus far has been phenomenal,” he says.
