Exhibiting Show organiser, Exposure Event Creations, has joined forces with a specialist environmental organisation ‘Put Something Back’ in order to reduce the impact of this year’s event, taking place on 26 and 27 June at Earls Court in London.
Put Something Back has calculated the effect travel to and from the show will have on the environment and Exhibiting Show has made an equivalent donation to one of the company’s managed plantation projects in the UK. The creation of this new woodland will assist in carbon balancing Exhibiting Show, and will provide well-managed amenity woodland as a haven for indigenous wildlife and a place for the local population to enjoy.
“It is vital that all event organisers take the environmental effect of their exhibitions seriously,” says event director, John Sanders. “There has been a great deal of debate throughout the industry for some time now about sustainability, but the time has come to not only talk green, but to act green. Working with Put Something Back, we will be actively compensating for some of our carbon footprint, and we urge other event organisers to follow our example.”
